The British Shooting Show‘s move to The NEC, Birmingham, in February was generally judged to be a great success. One or two minor issues will, no doubt, be ironed out for next year’s event. Dates for next year are 15th, 16th & 17th February 2019.
In the meantime, three more major shows for your diary are:
The Northern Shooting Show: “Now into our third year the show continues to go from strength to strength. The 2017 show was a great success and the exhibitors have shown their support for the show by wasting no time in rebooking. We are putting a great deal of effort in to only having the ‘right’ exhibitors, with even more signing up to join us at the show. This year’s show dates are Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th May 2018.
The location offers easy access from the A1/M62 Crossroads, (Gateway to the North) and the venue boasts generous free onsite parking very close to the halls. The timing and location allows for a strong emphasis on outdoor shooting activities and demonstrations with many areas to ‘have a go’ and ‘try before you buy’
The NSS team promise to bring you a celebration of all shooting sports by providing an inclusive ‘one stop shop’ where all facets of shooting are represented, from large gun manufacturers down to small specialist retailers. The friendly atmosphere gives all shooters the chance to meet and learn from industry experts and see all the latest products to hit the market, and grab a bargain with our very special ‘Show Only Offers’.”
The Scottish Gamefair: “The 2018 Scottish Game Fair marks 30 years of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust celebrating conservation and the countryside. To commemorate this special occasion, we are planning a host of memorable new events. We can’t say too much at the moment but can confirm that due to the success of the Four Nations International Gundog Competition, it’s going to be returning. We will be unveiling a new standalone Cookery Theatre with big name chefs. The trader process is now open, with applications flooding in from the country’s finest producers of clothing, crafts, sporting goods, food and drink.”
The Game Fair: “The Game Fair is the annual gathering for people passionate about countryside pursuits, and the Great British Countryside in all its glory. Celebrating its 60th year, The Game Fair returns to Ragley Hall, Warwickshire to celebrate its Diamond Anniversary, 27-29 July 2018. The Game Fair boasts the most comprehensive array of fieldsports in the UK. Including archery, air gunning, falconry, fishing, ferrets, gun dogs, horses & hounds and Europe’s longest clay shooting line. Incorporating core Game Fair sections including Game Keepers Row, Woodland and Forestry, Estate Management, and Elegant Gardens. A must for Shoot Managers, Game Keepers and Estate Managers.”
